The answer is simple it's the Cornell method
we will learn what is s Cornell method of making notes so without wasting any time let's get started titled :
How to make effective notes for exams
Let see Cornell method of note-making
1 p.p.p ( prepare the paper in three parts )
To make notes open a notebook and draw a line in the middle of the left and center page. remember the line which you draw doesn't touch the bottom and draw another horizontal line where you ended the first line
this will separate a page into 3 parts and creates a little space to write in left and as well as the bottom and creates a large space in the center
( your page should look like the above picture)
( 1 part ) - middle
(2 part ) - left
(3 part )- bottom
so let's see what to write in this part in step number two
2 fill it before you forgot
so let's fill it out
Part 1
in part 1 we have to write a point-wise important concept which we study in short, remember short!
you can also make drawings to learn and remember Effectively and this technique is called visual study ( this is my favorite method )
for example chromosome
has diploid and haploid
has genes
Part 2
in part 2 we have to write question, terms which you don't understand or difficult to learn or remember
in the revision time, this part helps you to understand the difficulty and further ago in the exam time you will master the concept
part 3
you have to write in super summary of what you learn in part 3
write a summary in that manner you are understanding to your friends or a 10-year kid.
the reason behind this you will know you understand the concept or not really
3 let's revise
So you cooked your notes now the time has come to revise it!
Let's see how to revise the notes
Recall the answers to the question which you have written in part 2 without seeing part 1 and part 3
If you didn't remember than see part 1 which contains important points of the chapter
4 don't do this
The most important point is never missing step number three (let's revise) if you do that the notes you make with your Hard work go to waste
In short, you wasted your time, you wasted your paper, you wasted your ink.
Before making notes pls know what is important in the chapter and then write in part 1 if you don't then you got to the exam learning things that don't come to the exam.
So this is how you can make effective notes for revision and this will also help you in competitive exams like UPSC.
